Caleb Wachter
author : Caleb Wachter
Born in the Pacific Northwest, I have at various times been a salesman, a Registered Nurse, a sailor, a forester, a student, and a father.\n\nMy list of personal heroes from fiction includes James T. Kirk, Han Solo, Agent Scully, Raistlin Majere, Tristan Ludlow, Data, the Joker, and Londo Mollari.\n\nMy favorite cultural and intellectual icons include Thomas Jefferson, Stephen Hawking, Freeman Dyson, Zhuge Liang, and Fred Rogers.\n\nMy favorite book is the Eisenhorn Omnibus by Dan Abnett, which opened my eyes to a pace and style of writing which I now do my best to emulate whenever possible.\n\nMy favorite television series is Babylon 5 (with Three Kingdoms (2010) somewhere in the hunt for runner up).\n\nMy favorite film is probably one of the following: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and The Dark Knight (clearly, I don't think something needs to be obscure to be great--also, as a second child, it's entirely possible that I'm partial to sequels).
